Ramadan is nearly here alhumudulillah
Well its now the 15th of July and inshallah in around 17 - 18 days it will be the beginning of the month of fasting called Ramadan. From now until the start of the holy month it is time to reflect on the past year and what we want to get out of the holy month coming up.
To prepare I have begun to sort through my iphone and its music content and remove quite a bit of the stuff on there and fill it with my islamic readings and favourite nasheeds. I inshallah hope to put my quran reading in the forefront this year too, last year I was really ill and unable to even eat for most of the month and so my ramadan was not very eventful and being able to read was not even part of my daily routine as I spent most of the time in bed in pain.
As its the summer holidays again inshallah i can spend my time in the bedroom reading to my hearts content, as cooking will be a lot later in the day inshallah.
The foods that me and my family will be eating will be msemmen and bgriia these are moroccan pancakes, there will be samosas, bread, soup (harira, tomato) and i have made some chebbakkiya and frozen this too at the moment. I will be making some moroccan cigars and some biscuits and cakes too.
This part of the lead up to the holy month I do enjoy and inshallah it shall be a rewarding month.
I will be back inshallah weekly to post what other things I have to done to make ramadan a little easier in the beginning, and inshallah the whole of ramdan right up until Eid ul Fitr.

University finally
well i have finally been given a place at uni in london after clearing, i cant believe how much my college mucked up my acceptance. they had reported to my prospective uni that i will not receive full credits the maximum i will get is 36 when infact i was awarded 60 credits and 45 at level 3 and 15 level 2s. this would have been more than enough to get me on the course even though it was not a full diploma without the algebra maths. the uni told me that if the college had acknowledged my 60 credits even though its a certificate was more than enough and i would be on my physiotherapy ccourse rather than having to do an extended degree.
well im going to south bank uni and hopefully it will turn out well. these past few weeks have been really hard i have had severe migraines been in bed most of the time and now im just getting over having the flu, still feel light headed and stuffy. just now waiting for my uni to send me my letter of acceptance and start date which will be around he 20th september.
well gonna go now bye

Ramadan is nearly here
Today I have begun looking at my recipes to begin making my breads and cakes that I usually make during ramadan the holy month that is nearly upon us. As muslims we look forward to this month with heart felt love of our religion. it is a great month to reflect on our lives and to take more time in reading and understanding the Quran and Sunnah. Remembering those that are also less fortunate than us and to be able to interpret this into a great charity and alhumdulillah to carry this on after ramadan has finished.
This year alhumdulillah it will all be in the school holidays so we are able to do a lot more as no early nights are needed so my boys can get up the next morning. I have ordered a good reading book called my ramadan diary and inshallah it help me to get a good timetable together so that we can use our time efficiently and in the evenings go out and see other muslims in other areas inshallah.
My first set of breads are called challah and they are big plait breads and my hubby and boys love them and i am also going to be doing small round breads caled anise bread and these are good for breakfast with harira in the early morning sehri.
we usually eat the challah for breaking of the fast with some home made soup and usually the main meal as they breaking of the fast this year will later, so we will have both close to gether.
i will post my finished food delights when they are complete, as for now i am looking through my books and i will also begin to enjoy doing some baking for my cakes and bikkies too.
well that is me for now and inshallah ill be back soon

Well i have finally got my results from college and i am really annoyed. i have been able to acquire more credits than needed, but will not however be given my diploma as i have not been able to pass the the level 3 maths, so i am now inshallah hoping that my chosen university will accept my credit award without the diploma.
i am so gutted as the other access courses allow you to fail at least one module, but i am not so it is very unfair to me and some others on the course.
so will report back here when i get my answer from the uni.
Today i was lucky however, as i was able to re-knew my sisters magazine subscription something i have been trying to do for ages, but never actually got around to doing.
well i am going to go now and relax as no more college is a fantastic feeling, i now have time to read my books that i have been really hoping to read before uni in september if i get taken on.
